HB's QUESTIONS
Directions: 1. Sign in to your Gmail, then go into Blogger 2. Create a Page and title it Harrison Bergeron Questions 3. Answer these questions using 2-3 complete sentences each. You may skip 1 question.
1. Reread lines 1-17 on pg. 38 list 3 details about their society. What is your opinion of their society?
A few details about their society is nobody is better than everyone else. Two, everybody was equal because it was the law.Three it uses unfair advantages from society. My opinion of their society was maybe that what the future my be like or a government might take over the world.
2. In what ways are George and Hazel more like robots than humans? Why do you think this is?
George and Hazel use intelligence from the government also, they use handicapped radio buzzing sound to put in people's ears.
3. How would you describe the government in 2081 according to this story? Provide an example from the text.
The government of 2081 is bizarre events that you might or might not expect to happen.
4. What does it tell you about the world that Harrison lives in if his mother has "average" intelligence and that means she cannot remember anything or think too long about anything?
If Harrison's mother has average intelligence then his mother would had struggle.
5. How does the ballerina change from the beginning to the end of the story? How do you know? (a. the author tells you b. her actions c. what other characters say about her?
The ballerina changed to the beginning to the end of the story by when Harrison Bergeron came into the theater and ask one of the ballerinas to do something for him. Her actions was nervous type. The other characters said that maybe this ballerina isn't so scared after all.
6. What does the fact that Harrison is able to influence people tell you about how he is a threat to the government? He influenced the ballerinas.
7. Why does the government want everyone to wear handicaps?
The government want everyone to be like everyone
8. How would you describe George and Hazel's reaction to their son's death? Why is their reaction like this? They felt depressed especially his father. Their reaction like this because they never saw anything like that before and they won't forget that moment.
